Jaykco Does Texas
We were back in Texas again, this time for the granddaddy of all vintage guitar shows, The Dallas International Guitar Festival.
Another satisfied customer rocking a “Salmon Doreena” on a rather sweet ’59 Les Paul Standard.

How much of tube geek are you?

Until then check out this shot of the King from Sid’s Diner in El Reno, Oklahoma. Mmmm mmmm Goooood.
We had a great time down in Texas for SXSW. We even got a chance to meet one of our all time heroes, James Burton. Here he is with Caspar Rawls displaying the 2 Jaykco straps they picked up. I hope they use them. The man was as humble and as gracious as could be. It was the highlight of the trip for us.
We also got to meet another hero of ours: Eddie Shaw from the great sixties band The Monks.
On the way down we stopped in the town of West, Texas and had some wonderful Kolaches. They didn’t last long enough to get photographed but here’s the proof:

We also had some time to hang out with the locals out by Caddo Creek on our off day.
